Julyyy!

We have had such a wonderful summer being in the country and being close to family!  The best is having Grams next door who invites us over for fried fish and pool time!

For the 4th of July, Melissa and Wade invited the whole fam and some friends to the camp in Toledo Bend for a wonderful weekend full of good food, fishing at the dock, hiking trails, swimming at the pool, and fireworks at the State Park! I didn't get very many photos, but here are a few from the weekend!

Baby Grant has picked the comfiest little spot haha!

This girl loves the water, so we headed to Dollar General and got us a pool!! She loves having a quick dip on those super hot days...and cause mom likes to keep the AC off haha! JK!

I'm so thankful for these summer days, and I'm trying to soak up all this precious time with Kate. I'm overwhelmed with thankfulness that I am able to stay home with her and that she has a father who so willingly provides for us. Not that it doesn't come with sacrifices...it does. But those sacrifices aren't very hard to pay when I get to watch the wonder on her face when she discovers something new, being there for all of her firsts, the way she lays her head down on my chest when she's ready for a nap, that cheesy cheesy grin she gives me when she's doing something she's not supposed to, her sweet little babbles...the list goes on and on. And of course I get to put back  all the wipes she pulled out of the box, wash the fresh chicken poop off her hand, fish out June Bugs from her mouth, sweep up all the green beans she threw on the floor, and pick up all the books she pulled out from the bookcase haha. I love that little girl and so glad we get to do life together...every second of it :).

  1. Ohhhh myyyy goshhhhh!!!! I'm crying. Hezzzzz, this is amazing!!!! I love the real life stuff at the end. Being a stay at home mom isn't glamorous or even always fun.. But the bond it's forming and the teachable moments it creates to tell our babies about Jesus.. It's SO much better than glamorous. It's priceless and such an honor!!!! Also - why does Kate have so many adorable swim suits??? :)) so glad y'all got to come to the camp!!! Let's plan another weekend!!! Whoooo hooooo!! Love youuu!!
