Julyyy!

We have had such a wonderful summer being in the country and being close to family!  The best is having Grams next door who invites us over for fried fish and pool time!



Who knew 2 inches of water could be so fun!



For the 4th of July, Melissa and Wade invited the whole fam and some friends to the camp in Toledo Bend for a wonderful weekend full of good food, fishing at the dock, hiking trails, swimming at the pool, and fireworks at the State Park! I didn't get very many photos, but here are a few from the weekend!

Baby Grant has picked the comfiest little spot haha!

Hodges Gardens

At the end of June, our cousin Mackenzie came all the way from Indiana down to Louisiana to visit her awesome family! :) It was so great to see her and so thankful she made the long, long trip to come see us! All the Pineville crew and Mackenzie came to Anacoco and spent the day, and we had a wonderful time on the farm. Then we trekked over to Hodges Gardens, a beautiful, 4,700 acre State Park about 15 minutes from our house...who knew!

I spy three little monkeys!

Throughout the day, all the kids collected these huge feathers along the trail. They had a handful by the time we finished!

It's so fabulous having Jason off in the summer! He got to come too!

 

Sadie and Rylie's Birthday!

This past June, Sadie and Rylie turned 6 years old. 6 YEARS OLD?? How did this happen?? haha These little girls will always hold a special place in my heart since they were the first ones who made me an Aunt! Since I was the youngest in my family, I'd never been around babies much, so this was a whole new world for me. It was so fun to try to tell them apart, watch them discover new things, say their first words, their first steps...and now they're going into FIRST GRADE! I love my little twinsies!

Jen hosted a special birthday dinner for her little 6 year olds and invited all the fam and close friends! Here's Nathan and Baby Grant!

Wedding Time!

On June 14th, sweet Allyson Collins said "I Do" to her honey and became Mrs. Hensgens! I was in charge of makeup for all my nieces since they were all flower girls!



We take this very seriously...by the way. :)

Kate of Anacoco

Even though she's got a Texas birth certificate, Kate's heart definitely belongs to Louisiana! She has loved being able to play outside and all the fresh air and all of the visits from her cousins! Here are a couple quick photos from our first month in Anacoco!

Every morning, when Kate wakes me up, I get my coffee and we all sit on the front porch together. We have loved having Jason home during the summer, especially since he makes my coffee in the morning :). Here we are enjoying our morning on the front porch!

Seriously? The girl who wears wedges everywhere? And only owns about 4 T-shirts? Yes, folks, this is me with three chickens loaded in the back of the truck. Me, by myself, driving three chickens and a kitty cat from Deville to Anancoco haha! Melissa and Wade graciously gave us all their chickens and a kitty cat, and we have seriously loved it! The fresh eggs are incredible, and I looove my new kitty!

This is our new kitty cat, Cherry! She is the sweetest thing and Kate will grab and hug her every morning!





This house is such a blessing and so thankful how the Lord provides...even the little things...like a kitty cat :)

 

 

Down on the Farm

This past June, Mom, Kate, and I made the 10 hour trek to see Grandpa in Illinois for his 86th birthday! It was the first time Grandpa got to meet his favorite great-grandaughter :), and even though it was a quick 2 day trip, it was such a sweet time together!
