Brinker Family Vacation - Part Cuatro

On the last full day of our vacation, we had to enjoy the river one last time in Tennessee! Everyone got their swimsuits on and loaded up into the back of Kurt's truck, ready for the water!

Sweet Rylie girl and Nathan!

Brinker Family Vacation - Part Tres

The next day, we loaded up and headed to Cade's Cove, home to 19th century pioneer homesteads, farms, and churches! It's a one-lane road with incredible views of the Smokies and you can even catch glimpses of wildlife. Here we are before our big adventure!

Jude and those dreamy blue eyes!01-IMG_0001

Who pooted? Bahaa!

02-IMG_0003

Grammie is ready!

03-IMG_0004

Uncle Kurt is the fun one around here!

05-IMG_0006

All saddled up and ready to go!

04-IMG_0005

6 Brinkers + 26 years later = 20 people + 1 bun in the oven = The Perfect Family! And probably still counting!

07-IMG_0013

No one was injured during this production. Do not try at home. Professional on closed course.

08-IMG_0015

Gavin Dean! Sooo cute!

09-IMG_0018

One of the views along the way!

10-IMG_0019

The first stop is walking down the trail to John Oliver's cabin, built c. 1822!

11-IMG_0026

We made it!

12-IMG_0028

13-IMG_0029

The mountains in the back would have been the Olivers' view from their house. Sooo gorgeous! I like the two additions to the view, though!

14-IMG_0030

Next stop! The Baptist Church.

17-IMG_0038

The girls! And oh, sweet Callie haha!

15-IMG_0035

Them boys sleeping in church...tsk tsk tsk

16-IMG_0037

Our first glimpse at wildlife! A doe, a deer!

18-IMG_0040

Another view from Cade's Cove! Breathtaking! Especially with those people in the picture!

19-IMG_0043

The Sharbonos!

20-IMG_0053

The Pooles! (And I included all three photos of the fam because Andrew has the funniest faces in all three!)

21-IMG_0055

22-IMG_0056

See what I mean?? Hah!

23-IMG_0057

We missed you, Jase! Wish you could have completed our family photo! Guess you're not gonna be on our Christmas card this year...

24-IMG_0059

Haha! Just joking, Jase!

25-IMG_0063

We looooove youuuuu!

26-IMG_0065

The cutest couple award goes toooo........

27-IMG_0069

Heading on down the trail, we let loose, got crazy, and took our seat belts off! Kate looooved riding shotgun!

28-IMG_0070

And the kiddos got in the back of the truck with Grammie!

29-IMG_0073

There was a lot of traffic backed up, so we pulled over to see what the fuss was about...

30-IMG_0074

Bears!!!!!! Two black bears!!!!! One mama, and one cub!

32-IMG_0079

Peek-a-boo! I can't believe we see you!!31-IMG_0078

After we stalked the bears for a bit, we headed down the Elijah Oliver trail. And stopped to smell the flowers of course.

33-IMG_0082

Best friends.

34-IMG_0084

Ready for the trail to the next cabin!

35-IMG_0085

It was such a beautiful, peaceful walk through the woods on the way there. (A little different on the way back...!)

36-IMG_0090

We made it!

37-IMG_0093Some checked out the cabin, others threw rocks to see who could get it in the drain...boyz. haha!

38-IMG_0098We headed back down the trail, and not 2 minutes later, I watched as Savannah tripped, crashed, and then had rocks embedded in her poor knee!! We all started running down the trail back to the car as Wade carried Savannah all the way back. Once we finally got loaded up, we asked where the nearest Urgent Care clinic was, and it was back in Pigeon Forge! An hour away! And the traffic was still backed up in Cade's Cove! And it was only one lane!! Aghhh!!!! But the Lord was totally in control, and we made it back to Pigeon Forge in time (several agonizing hours later). Savannah got two internal stitches and 7 outer stitches. It could have been so much worse, but we are so thankful the Lord protected Savannah. And now, she's good as new :)

So the girls looooove makeup, especially bright, glittery eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick. Here's our little divas!

39-IMG_0100

Caught ya! Nice selfies :)

40-IMG_0102

Twinsies!
41-IMG_0103

Them babies loooooved those stairs!
42-IMG_0104

Kurt brought his wireless bluetooth speakers, so of course we had to have a Frozen dance party! Let it goooooo, let it goooooo......

43-IMG_0106

And of course, everyone had to have their makeup on!

44-IMG_0107

Look at that face!!! The next Celine!

45-IMG_0108

Dance parties in cabins in the mountains are the BEST!

48-IMG_0111

So sweeet!

49-IMG_0112

50-IMG_0115

Best buddies!

51-IMG_0116

Love how much they love each other!

52-IMG_0117

Earlier that day, we visited the shops at Gatlinburg, ate at the Pancake House, and watched the taffy machine work at the Candy Shop! (I didn't get any pictures from the day, but Melissa did! Check them out here on her blog!) Sadly, I had a headache for most of the day, and it wouldn't go away even after medicine and a nap. COME TO FIND OUT, the coffee made that morning was DECAF! Aghhhhh!!! Apparently, I'm hooked on caffeine (and have I cut down at all on my intake?...NOPE!) so dad make this sign the next morning...hardy har har. haha!

53-IMG_0118

Grant in his little man pajamas!

54-IMG_0119

Callie helping Aunt Mandy cook breakfast...she's got the hand on the hip and everything!
